Frode Odegard

Frode L. Odegard, Founder & CEO, Lean Software Institute

The founder of three companies, Frode has more than two decades of experience as an entrepreneur and trusted advisor to high-tech executives.  Organizations he has helped include Sony Electronics Inc., Lockheed Martin, Honeywell Aerospace, Cardinal Health, AT&T Wireless, and Plantronics.   His latest venture, the Lean Software Institute, helps software and technology companies improve their business performance using Toyota's Lean methodology.  Frode is currently writing a book on Lean for the IT industry. His mission statement: Make the world of work a better place. 

Before founding the Lean Software Institute in 2004, Frode was the CEO and founder of Odegard Labs, Inc., a software engineering research and consulting firm. Prior to founding Odegard Labs in 1991, Frode was the CEO and founder of a Norwegian company building next-generation software development tools. His interests outside work include history, languages, philosophy, mathematics, psychology, fencing, skydiving, and strength training.
