Carlin (Carly) Janson

Carlin (Carly) Janson is the CEO and Founder of New Sector Alliance, a recognized leader in the field of social impact consulting and talent management, and a partner of The Corporation for National and Community Service/AmeriCorps. Janson founded New Sector in 2000 as a volunteer project supported by individuals from multiple top consulting firms and business schools. (including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Wharton). Over the past decade, she has focused on developing strategies and mobilizing talent to effect change across sectors, working with hundreds of for-profit companies, nonprofits, public sector agencies, and cross-sector partnerships. Janson holds a BA in Economics from Princeton University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and has studied International Economics and The Economics of Social Problems at the London School of Economics. Janson co-teaches a course on Consulting to Nonprofits at Harvard College, and guest lectures at several other academic institutions, including Babson College, Harvard Business School, and MIT’s Sloan School of Business.
